The Enchanted Woods is a 3-walled immersive video installation animating an imaginary forest landscape. The work is part of a larger series entitled Video Terrariums, a collection of panoramic video landscapes integrating various animation/compositing techniques to reference scenic dioramas one might find in a natural history museum illustrating a variety of habitats. The woods are dark and mysterious, with unknown secrets and intrigue. Cautionary tales portrays the woods as a seductive place for children to wander into. This video installation seduces the public to come inside the woods and discover a surreal mix of nostalgia, myth and mystery.
