Démarche artistique
“Fun Enhancers” a participatory installation which explores the social gaps existing between persons living in capitalist societies. Spectators are lured in a non-instructional fashion to take pictures and selfies inside these Photo-Cut-Out Sets depicting homeless persons in urban landscapes. While exploring concepts like social exclusion and marginalization, users unavoidably get involved into a critical exercise about contemporary ethical models which, throughout the polemic action of laughing of other people’s disgraces help them make public their own ones. This ludical works, help us to picture ourselves in the possibility of being excluded or treated as a social alien, through the paradoxical and almost unconscious narcissistic instinct of shooting a selfie.
